Policy Maker Migration Tool is on its way — meanwhile, wanna check a setting in all GPOs?

There are two new postings on the GPTeam blog.

The first one is an announcement — Policy Maker Migration Tool that helps you with the transition from PolicyMaker to Group Policy Preferences are a little “delayed” – nevertheless, it’s on its way to release and may soon be delivered: http://blogs.technet.com/grouppolicy/archive/2009/04/09/policymaker-migration-tool-resetting-release-expectations.aspx

Another posting, http://blogs.technet.com/grouppolicy/archive/2009/04/14/tool-images.aspx shows you some 2008 R2 Powershell action and how to search for a specific setting across all GPOs in your domain. To quote the first lines of the posting: “You configured a setting in one GPO and want to know what that setting is across all GPO’s. You want to check that a setting is not being overwritten by another GPO in the same domain (without checking through every settings report).

Sound familiar?”
